mix-of-shelled-nutsNuts come in all kinds of shapes and sizes.  They grow from a variety of different trees and come from different parts of the world.  They all look different and taste different; yet they are all nuts.

They  all have the unlimited potentiality to become great unique trees and to leave a lasting legacy.  That is if they are cracked, softened, buried alive and absorb the necessary nutrients.

The key to their success is that they surrender to possibility, die to themselves and allow themselves to unfold into a new life.  They trust the unfoldment of the universe and that all is in Divine Order.  They allow themselves to stretch and grow and be pruned along the way.

One thing I really don’t think they do is to compare themselves to the other nuts and try to be something they are not.  They accept the fullness of being their unique type of nut.  Think about it, my pecan tree is next to 3 different oak trees.  Do you think it is saying, “I wish I was an oak tree.  I could be so much better if I was an oak.”

This sounds silly, right?  But how many of us compare ourselves to other leaders?  Do you find yourself thinking that if you had their gifts, talents and circumstances, you would be so much better and more effective?  This is one of the most damaging mindsets one can have.  It blocks us from being authentic and growing into our own unique brilliance.

When we accept ourselves in our fullness of potentiality, trusting that we have all the DNA to grow into our highest self, then we can flourish.  We must focus on being our highest and greatest self.  We do this by constantly stretching ourselves up and out, overcoming the obstacles that try to block our growth, act authentically and receive all the nutrients we require.  In order to flourish into a life of abundant legacy, we must constantly feed ourselves living giving nutrients .
